Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Firmware7 collects when you visit firmware7.com, why we collect it, and what control you have over it. It covers this website only. It does not cover what happens on other websites we link to, and it does not cover anything collected offline.
Consent
By using firmware7.com, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please stop using the site.
Information You Give Us
We only receive personal details when you choose to type them into one of our forms. We do not ask you to create an account, and public registration is turned off on this site.
There are three forms on Firmware7, and each one collects only what it needs:
- Contact form. Your name, email address, subject, and the message you write.
- Subscription form. Your email address, and nothing else.
- Firmware request form. Your name, email address, device brand, device model, Android version, build number, and any extra details you add.
Form submissions are stored in this website’s database and are also sent to us by email so we can reply.
Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, Firmware7 and its hosting provider keep server log files. These logs are recorded for every visitor, whether or not you fill in a form. They may include:
- Your IP address
- Your browser type and version
- Your internet service provider
- The date and time of your visit
- The pages you opened
- The page that referred you, if there was one
We use this to keep the site running, to see which firmware pages are being used, to fix broken pages and links, and to spot abuse or attacks. Log data is not linked to anything that identifies you personally.
Cookies
Cookies are small files saved in your browser. Firmware7 uses them to remember your preferences, to keep the site working properly as you move between pages, and to measure how the site is used.
You can turn cookies off or delete them in your browser settings. Most browsers let you block them for one site or for all sites. Blocking them will not stop you reading Firmware7, but some parts of the site may not behave as expected.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site, for example which firmware pages get opened most and which devices people browse on. It reports on visitors as a group rather than telling us who you are.
Google Analytics sets its own cookies and processes data on Google’s servers under Google’s own privacy terms. You can opt out across every website by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Advertising and Third-Party Ad Partners
Firmware7 may display advertising supplied by third-party ad networks, including Google AdSense. Where ads are shown, the ad network, and not Firmware7, controls what you see and what it records.
Ad networks commonly use cookies, web beacons, or similar technology to measure ad performance and to show ads they believe are relevant to you. They may receive your IP address and details of the pages you opened. Firmware7 has no access to and no control over the cookies set by these networks.
Google is a third-party vendor on this site. Google’s DoubleClick DART cookie is used by Google to serve ads based on your visits to Firmware7 and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of the DART cookie in the Google advertising and content network privacy policy.
To manage or opt out of personalised advertising more widely, see your Google Ad Settings.
Third-Party Privacy Policies
This Privacy Policy does not apply to other advertisers, ad networks, or websites. We advise you to read the privacy policy of any third party whose service you use, so you know what they collect and how to opt out.
Firmware Downloads and External Links
Many firmware files, tools, and drivers listed on Firmware7 are hosted on servers we do not own or operate. When you click a download link, you may leave this site.
At that point the other website’s privacy policy applies, not ours. That site may log your IP address, set its own cookies, ask you to register, or show its own ads. We have no control over any of it. Please check the policy of any file host before you download from it.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- Run and maintain the website
- Reply to your messages and firmware requests
- Send email updates if you asked for them
- Understand which content is useful and improve it
- Fix errors, broken links, and outdated firmware information
- Prevent spam, abuse, and security problems
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not trade it.
How Long We Keep Your Information
Form submissions are kept for as long as they are useful for answering you and for keeping a record of the request. Server logs are kept for a short period as part of normal hosting operations. Email subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
You can ask us to delete anything you have sent us at any time.
